Ingredients

  • 1 bag of Simek’s Original Meatballs, thawed
  • 2 (13.8 oz) cans refrigerated pizza crust
  • 1 egg, whisked
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, finely grated
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Flaky salt, for topping
  • 1 stick string cheese
  • Marinara sauce, for serving

Directions

  1. Thaw meatballs
  2. Preheat oven to 400°F
  3. Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
  4. Unroll both cans of pizza dough.
  5. Using a knife, divide the dough into at least 32 equal pieces total (about 16 pieces per can). Try to keep them evenly sized for consistent baking.
  6. Place one meatball in the center of each piece of dough.
  7. Wrap the dough around the meatball, pinch the seams closed, and gently roll into a ball.
  8. Arrange the dough balls seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet in the shape of a football.
  9. Use about 16 dough balls around the outer edge and place the remaining balls in the center.
  10. Make sure the balls are touching slightly, but not packed too tightly.
  11. Brush the tops with the whisked egg.
  12. Sprinkle lightly with flaky salt.
  13. Bake for 18–20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  14. In a medium bowl, combine the melted butter, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, parsley, basil, salt, and pepper.
  15. Brush the mixture generously over the warm baked rolls.
  16. Slice the string cheese into thin rectangles.
  17. Arrange the pieces across the top to resemble football laces.
  18. Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.
  19. Enjoy!
